A unique, big and wonderful city on the Versilia coast along the Tyrrhenian Sea.
The interesting inland is surrounded in the back by the Apuan Alps that were formed million years ago under the sea and today are famous, all over the world, for their marble quarries. A special type known as "bianco di Carrara" (Carrara white) is the marble selected by Michelangelo Buonarroti for his sculptures.
The whole coast offers attractions to tempt even the most demanding tourists: from art and antique to celebrated night clubs and relaxing nature.
